19. PAYMENT DATA

When processing monetary transactions, payment information is processed securely through PCI-DSS certified payment processors (e.g., Mercado Pago, Binance Pay, banking partners). Zoe Charge does not store full credit card numbers or CVV security codes on its servers, significantly reducing exposure and ensuring top-tier banking security.

20. PURPOSES OF DATA PROCESSING

Personal data is processed strictly for the following purposes:

  1. creating and managing user accounts;
  2. delivering and maintaining application functionality;
  3. operating physical charging stations and smart telemetry;
  4. processing monetary payments and refunds;
  5. issuing required tax receipts and invoices;

21. LEGAL BASES

Data processing operations carried out by Zoe Charge are grounded in legal bases provided by Article 7 of the LGPD, including:

  • execution of contract or preliminary procedures (Art. 7, V);
  • compliance with statutory and regulatory obligations (Art. 7, II);
  • regular exercise of rights in judicial or administrative proceedings (Art. 7, VI);
  • legitimate interests of the controller or third parties (Art. 7, IX);
  • fraud prevention and security of the data subject (Art. 7, X);
  • explicit consent, when requested for specific marketing purposes (Art. 7, I).

22. DATA SHARING

Zoe Charge shares personal data strictly to the extent necessary with:

  • certified payment processors and banking institutions;
  • cloud infrastructure and database hosting providers (Google Cloud Platform / Firebase);
  • telemetry and hardware station management software partners;
  • customer relationship management and support desk providers;
  • charging site operating partners (limited to operational needs);
  • SMS, push notification, and email communication delivery services;
  • cybersecurity and fraud prevention monitoring services;
  • artificial intelligence assistants that users themselves link to their account, within the limits of section 23;
  • judicial, regulatory, or police authorities upon mandatory legal demand.

All partners are subject to strict data processing agreements and data privacy obligations.

23. AI ASSISTANTS AND CONNECTED APPS

Users may, on their own initiative, link their ZoeCharge account to third-party artificial intelligence assistants, such as Google Gemini, to look up information and request actions through conversation. Linking takes place on the ZoeCharge sign-in page (auth.zoecharge.com.br), with the same Google or Apple account used in the app, and is only completed after the user authorizes, on the consent screen, the permissions described below.

Without a link, the assistant can only look up public charging station information (location, connector availability and prices). The location the user gives the assistant is used solely to find nearby stations and is not stored by ZoeCharge.

With a link, the assistant may access, according to the authorized permissions:

  • Charging: the ongoing charge (station, connector, energy, power, battery level, elapsed time and accrued cost), the history of recent charges and how each one was billed;
  • Stopping a charge: stopping the user's own ongoing charge, always after asking the user to confirm in the conversation;
  • Wallet: the balance and recent statement entries.

The assistant does not receive the password or full access to the account, and has no access to CPF, address, phone number, card data or other payment method data. It cannot make payments, start charges or change the user's registration. Each access uses its own credential, valid for 15 minutes and limited to the authorized permissions. The link expires after 180 days without use.

Information is sent to the integrated application only when the user makes a request that depends on it. From then on, it is processed under the terms of use and privacy policy of that application's provider, including conversation storage and international data transfers (section 24).

How to unlink: at any time, in the ZoeCharge app under Profile > Connected apps, or in the assistant's own settings. Access ends within 15 minutes. Deleting the ZoeCharge account removes all links.

ZoeCharge records the link (assistant, authorized permissions and dates) to show it to the user, for security and to meet legal obligations. The legal basis for the link is the user's consent (LGPD, art. 7, I), which may be withdrawn at any time by unlinking. More details at zoecharge.com.br/assistentes.

24. INTERNATIONAL DATA TRANSFERS

Certain technological cloud service providers utilized by Zoe Charge (such as Google Cloud Platform) operate secure distributed data centers globally. International data transfers comply with LGPD Chapter V, utilizing standard contractual clauses and rigorous enterprise encryption in transit and at rest.

  • essential session authentication and login persistence;
  • system security and rate limiting protection;

Zoe Charge adopts modern technical and organizational security measures, including:

  • end-to-end data transmission encryption via modern TLS/HTTPS;
  • database encryption at rest (AES-256);
  • role-based access control (RBAC) and least-privilege principles;
  • continuous vulnerability monitoring and automated security audits.

27. RETENTION PERIOD

Personal data is retained only for the duration required to achieve the purpose for which it was collected, or until account deletion is requested by the user.

After account termination, certain records may be preserved as mandated by Brazilian statutory rules (such as connection logs under the Marco Civil da Internet for 6 months, and financial/invoicing records under tax laws for 5 years).

28. DATA SUBJECT RIGHTS

Under Article 18 of the LGPD, users have the following rights at any time:

  • confirmation of the existence of data processing;
  • access to processed personal data;
  • correction of incomplete, inaccurate, or outdated data;
  • anonymization, blocking, or deletion of unnecessary or excessive data;
  • data portability to another service provider upon request;
  • deletion of personal data processed based on consent, subject to statutory retention;
  • information regarding public and private entities with whom data is shared;
  • information about the consequences of denying consent;
  • revocation of consent;
  • self-service account and data deletion directly inside the mobile app.

Requests can be submitted directly via our privacy channel (privacidade@zoecharge.com.br) or through the profile settings screen in the mobile app.

29. CHILDREN AND MINORS

Zoe Charge services are intended exclusively for individuals with legal civil capacity to operate motor vehicles and enter into binding contracts. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children or minors under 18 years of age. Any inadvertently collected data will be promptly purged upon notification.

30. COMMUNICATIONS

Transactional communications necessary for service operation (account creation, receipts, security alerts, session progress) will be delivered via email, push notification, or SMS. Marketing or promotional communications will only be dispatched in accordance with user preferences and may be opted out at any time.

31. PRIVACY POLICY UPDATES

This Privacy Policy may be updated periodically to mirror service improvements, regulatory guidance from the National Data Protection Authority (ANPD), or technological advancements. The latest version will always be available at zoecharge.com.br/privacy/en/ and inside the mobile application.
